How do I rotate a group of hexes?
Tap any hex to select it, then tap a neighbouring hex to rotate the group of three around the shared edge. Matching colours in clusters of three or more will shatter and score points.
What are the special hex types?
Mystery reveals a random colour when matched. Locked must be cleared by an adjacent match before it can move. Bomb clears adjacent cells if not matched in time. Spreader slowly converts neighbouring hexes to its colour. Prism converts the six surrounding cells to one colour and can trigger an instant shatter.
How does scoring work?
Each shatter scores base points multiplied by your current streak. Chain shatters in a single move to build the multiplier and push for higher scores. A move with no match resets the streak.
What are the different game modes?
Classic is score chasing until you run out of moves. Timed is a race against the clock. Hardcore strips everything back to one run and no safety net.
How do continues work?
When a run ends in Classic or Timed mode, you can watch a rewarded ad to continue from where you left off. Up to three continues are available per run.
My score didn’t submit to Game Center. What happened?
Make sure you are signed in to Game Center in Settings before starting a run. Scores are submitted at the end of each game, so if you were offline at the time they should sync the next time you open the app while connected.
How do I turn off sound or music?
Open the settings icon from the main menu and toggle sound there. Your choice is saved between sessions.
Does Hex Shift work on iPad?
Yes. Hex Shift supports iPad and scales the layout for the larger screen.
